Our story

Our profiles and components are processed into various applications, such as screens, roller shutters and roller doors. We’d like to think of them, however, as more than a product in itself. They help you to shield your home or workspace and in this way they create safe and comfortable living spaces. 
For over 45 years we are a leading specialist in manufacturing aluminium and PVC profiles.
The extensive range is being processed into qualitative products for the purpose of living energy-efficient, though in comfort and security. 
We trust in our years of experience and our fundamental values as quality, customer first and a dynamic and down-to-earth approach.

On January 1st 2019 we became BUILDING SHUTTERS

Whereas previously our company name was Building Plastics. With a general declining trend of the PVC share in the market, the word ‘Plastics’ no longer represented our principal business activity. 

What’s in a name?

Even more important than a suitable name, are the values that we, as a company, attach importance to.

Craftsmanship
Quality is not an empty word at BUILDING SHUTTERS. Our products meet up with the strictest standards, which is why we continue to invest in research and development. We trust in years of expertise and work dedicated to manufacture primeval Belgian products.

At BUILDING SHUTTERS we focus on comfort, design, privacy and energy-efficiency and in order to commit to an honest and level-headed pricing.

Personal approach
At our Belgian domestic market, we sell customized finished products ourselves. For this, we established a network of reliable points of sale. Trained and experienced to personal advise and to guide the end customer.

In all other countries our sales concentrates on profiles and components. Towards our professional clients we offer first-line support to enable them to be the perfect ambassador of our products.

Sustainability
We do our upmost to guarantee years of carefree pleasure and we strive to create sustainable products with a long lifespan.

Sustainability is an important value, not only for our products but by extension for the entire company organization.

Keeping that in mind, our entire rooftop is covered with solar panels to become self-sufficient in our power supply.

Furthermore, we invested in a 100% green lacquer with an environmentally friendly process with no chemical additives.
